Matthew J. Koch

Matthew J. Koch, PE, PMP, CFM has over 30 years of experience in the engineering industry. Matthew J.'smost recent position was as the Vice President, Director of Operations for AtkinsRéal, where they were responsible for directing all operations of a business unit exceeding $80 million annually. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Division Manager for Federal Consulting Services within the same company. In this role, they established and implemented strategies to grow and sustain civil engineering, environmental engineering, and planning services for Federal clients nationwide. Before joining AtkinsRéal, Koch held various leadership positions at AECOM, Burns & McDonnell, CDM Smith, and Black & Veatch. Matthew J. has a strong background in business development, project management, and water resources management.

Matthew J. Koch, PE, PMP, CFM has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources from Penn State University, which they obtained from 1979 to 1983. Matthew J. also holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management from The University of Kansas, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2019, Certified Floodplain Manager from the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. (ASFPM) in 2004, and Professional Engineer from the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, and Land Surveyors in 1988.
