Christopher Escobar

Christopher Escobar is a director and producer who has worked in the film industry for over 10 years. Christopher is currently the Director at Atlanta Film Festival, and has previously worked as a technical advisor, executive director, and apprentice. Christopher has also directed and owned their own production company, ESCOBAR PICTURES.

Christopher Escobar began their career in film as a graduate research assistant in the Department of Communication at Georgia State University. Christopher worked as an apprentice at Georgia Public Broadcasting before becoming a director and owner of their own production company. Christopher has been working as a director at Atlanta Film Festival since 2017.

Christopher Escobar holds a M.A. in Communication with a focus in Moving Image Studies and Production from Georgia State University. Christopher also holds a B.A. in Film & Video from Georgia State University with a minor in Theatre. Their high school education includes a High School Diploma from Chapel Hill High School with an Arts Distinction, Tech Prep, and College Prep. Christopher also holds certifications from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits in Nonprofit Facility Management and Supervision & Management.
