Dante Edwards is an experienced educational leader at Atlanta Public Schools, serving as Principal since August 2010 and previously as Assistant Principal and Academy Leader. In the role of Academy Leader at Benjamin E. Mays High School, Dante Edwards functions as the instructional leader for the entire program. Prior experience includes serving as Magnet Coordinator and various roles such as Academy Leader and Teacher within Atlanta Public Schools from 2002 to 2010. Dante Edwards holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Teaching and Learning with a focus on Mathematics Education, along with an Education Specialist degree and a Master's degree in the same field from Georgia State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Morris Brown College.
