David Marcello

David Marcello has a strong background in education, with experience in both special education and general teaching. David worked as a Special Education Lead Teacher/Coordinator at Atlanta Public Schools, where they managed special education compliance, evaluated teacher compliance, and assisted with budgeting. Prior to that, they served as a 504 Coordinator at St. Tammany Parish Schools, responsible for teacher compliance of Federal 504 plans and law, as well as implementing action plans for referral processes and compliance. Additionally, they have experience with managing school budgets in Title-1 schools. David began their career as a Teacher at East Baton Rouge Parish School System, where they developed and taught engaging lessons and received high remarks for their creativity.

David Marcello, PsyD, Ed.S, LPC, NCC, MAC has an extensive education history. David obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1988. David continued their education at the same institution and received their Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Community and Child Counseling in 1992. In 2004, they completed a program in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, earning an M.Ed+30 from Kennesaw State University. David then pursued a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at Vanguard University of Southern California, which they completed in 2009. Lastly, they obtained an EdS degree in Elementary and Middle School Administration/Principalship from Walden University in 2011.

David Marcello also holds several additional certifications. David is certified as a Principal, Supervisor, Director of Counseling Services by the New Jersey Department of Education, which they obtained in 2010. Additionally, they are certified as a Regular and Special Education Teacher K-8, Principal, Director of Special Education, Counselor by the Georgia Department of Education, obtained in 2001. Moreover, they hold certifications as a Principal, Supervisor, and Counselor K-12 from the Louisiana Department of Education, obtained in 1998 and 1988 respectively.
