Delaine Sands

Delaine Sands is a highly experienced accounting professional with a career spanning over 25 years. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at Atlanta Public Schools since December 2017, Delaine has significant expertise in monthly financial close processes, journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and general ledger reconciliations. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Accountant at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, where responsibilities included preparing invoices and managing receivables. Earlier positions include various roles at SuperClubs - Breezes Trelawny, culminating in the role of Financial Controller, where Delaine managed a team of 20, oversaw accounting processes, and was responsible for financial reporting and budget preparation. Delaine holds a degree in Business Administration, Management and Finance from Nova Southeastern University and a Credit Diploma in Business Administration with a Finance major from the University of Technology, Kingston Jamaica.
