Rashida E. Askia

Rashida E. Askia, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Research Associate at Atlanta Public Schools since October 2021, focusing on survey development, program evaluations, and strategic research to support the district's objectives. As the Chief Executive Officer of Beyond the Score Consulting since August 2019, Rashida provides strategic consultation and qualitative research services in K-12 education. Previous roles include Research Consultant at ETS, where Rashida led qualitative research for education-related grants, and Lead Research Analyst for the Whole Child Initiatives at the Tennessee Department of Education, overseeing significant program evaluations. Rashida's early career included teaching roles at the Abu Dhabi Education Council and Atlanta Public Schools, where responsibilities encompassed curriculum design and departmental leadership. Rashida holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Auburn University, a Master's in Elementary Education from Tennessee State University, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Psychology from Fisk University.
