Bina Hussein

Nonresident Fellow, Global Energy Center at ATLANTIC COUNCIL OF THE UNITED STATES

Bina Hussein is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international studies and global energy policy. Currently serving as a Nonresident Fellow at the Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center and as the Founder of Zephyr Strategies since August 2020, Bina also holds a position as a Global Certification Program Specialist at Splunk. Bina previously worked at the Atlantic Council in various capacities from 2014 to 2020, including Associate Director of the Global Energy Center, and was a Penn Kemble Democracy Forum Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy. Early career roles include consulting for UNDP, social work, and internships across different sectors. Bina's educational background includes a Master of Arts in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, a Bachelor of Laws from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and a BTEC in International Business Studies from ROC van Amsterdam.
