Katherine Walla is the Assistant Director of Editorial at the Atlantic Council of the United States. Katherine previously worked as the Newsdesk Coordinator at Food Tank: The Food Think Tank, where they spearhead the editorial calendar, managed media and press inquiries, and published web content. Katherine also wrote breaking news articles highlighting policy, technology, and international affairs in the food system. In addition, they supervised the intern and fellowship programs, hired new team members, distributed assignments, and coordinated all team communications. Katherine also continued a twice-weekly podcast series, crafted a weekly newsletter reaching over 350,000 subscribers, and curated bi-monthly events on Capitol Hill convening Congress members to discuss national and international food policy.

Before their work at Food Tank, Katherine interned at Atlas Corps from May to August 2017. Katherine then became the Director of Philanthropy at Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc. from March 2017 to March 2018. In their current role as the Assistant Director of Editorial at the Atlantic Council of the United States, Katherine manages ATLANTIC COUNCIL's social media accounts and website content strategy while also editing various publications.

Katherine Walla earned a Bachelor's degree in Culture and Politics, with a focus on Global Hunger and Food Justice, from Georgetown University.
