Lesley Chavkin currently serves as the Global Head of Public Policy at Paxos, a financial technology firm, since February 2024. Chavkin is also a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council's Geoeconomics Center. Previously, Chavkin headed policy at the Stellar Development Foundation and held various roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co., including Vice President for Global Engagement. At the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Chavkin worked as an International Economist and Financial Attaché to Qatar and Kuwait, in addition to serving as a Senior Policy Advisor. Early career experience includes an Economic Analyst position at the Central Intelligence Agency and as a Corps Member with Teach for America. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and ongoing studies in financial inclusion policy at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Additional academic pursuits include a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs and Political Science from the University of Washington.
