Gregory W. Stamnas, MD, FHM has held various roles throughout their career. Gregory W. started working at Atlantic General Hospital in 2002 as the Director of Family Medicine until 2006. In 2005, they became the Director of Hospital Medicine at the same hospital. Prior to their time at Atlantic General, they served as the Director of Primary Care at Kunsan Air Base, ROK from 1999 to 2000. In 1996, they began working for the United States Air Force, Medical Corps as a Major and Family Physician until 2000. Before that, they served as a Microbiologist in the Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 2nd Class from 1983 to 1986.

Gregory W. Stamnas, MD, FHM completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biology from San Diego State University in 1989. Gregory W. then pursued their Medical Doctor (MD) degree at Emory University School of Medicine from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they completed their Family Medicine Residency at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA from 1993 to 1996. In addition, they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician from The George Washington University in 1983.
