John Saldarini M.D.

John Saldarini, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in the medical field. John is currently serving as the Section Chief of the Department of Nephrology at Atlantic Medical Group since March 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Medical Director at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey from February 2018 to March 2020.

From 2009 to 2018, Dr. Saldarini held multiple roles at Fresenius Medical Care, including Medical Director - Dialysis and a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. In these positions, they oversaw the delivery of dialysis care, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring quality assessment and performance improvement, and evaluating drug therapy and developing procedures and protocols related to drug use and delivery.

Before joining Fresenius, Dr. Saldarini worked at Nephrological Associates as an MD from August 2005 to February 2018. Here, they provided comprehensive evaluation and care for patients with kidney conditions, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage renal disease. John also specialized in the evaluation and treatment of hypertension and nephrolithiasis.

In addition, they held positions as a Medical Director at Fresenius Medical Care from 2006 to 2008 and as an Educator at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical from January 2006 to January 2007. John started their career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative at Lederle Laboratories from May 1993 to May 1994.

John Saldarini, MD, MBA has a diverse education background. John obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from Penn State University in 1993. Following this, they attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Biology.

In pursuit of their medical career, Saldarini enrolled at Saint George's University School of Medicine from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Subsequently, they joined The University of Connecticut School of Medicine from 2000 to 2003, specializing in Internal Medicine (IM).

To further their education and skills, Saldarini attended the University of Southern California from 2003 to 2005, where they completed a fellowship in the field of Nephrology.

As a testament to their commitment to continual growth and development, Saldarini returned to Penn State University in 2018 and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree within two years.
