Luis A Sandino

Luis A Sandino is a Systems Engineer at Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Plc, leading IT projects for the Solana and Mojave power plants since August 2019. Previously, Luis worked as a DCS Technician at both Atlantica and Abengoa, where responsibilities included control and communications. Additionally, Luis held roles as a Health and Safety Technician at Abengoa, enhancing safety programs with innovative VBA Excel applications. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Robotics and a Master’s in Control Systems Engineering, with research at the Universidad de Sevilla focused on control algorithms for unmanned helicopters. Luis also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at DLR and held various teaching assistant positions at the Universidad de Sevilla. Early career experience includes research internships and a role in AutoCAD drafting at TELVENT GIT S.A.
