Carol Ann Gioia

Carol Ann Gioia, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, currently serves as the VP and Chief Nursing Officer at AtlantiCare since September 2025. Previously, Carol held various leadership roles at Main Line Health, including Director of Surgical Services and Director of Nursing, from October 2018 to September 2025. Prior experiences at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals span several positions from Director of Perioperative Services to Nurse Manager of Critical Care over nearly three decades. Carol began a nursing career as a Critical Care Registered Nurse at Methodist Hospital Division and has also contributed as Adjunct Faculty at Gloucester County College. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Thomas Jefferson University, a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from Widener University, complemented by an Associate’s Degree from Rowan College at Gloucester County.
