Heather Parker

Senior Account Director (2010); Client Services Director (2015); Managing Director (2017) at Atlantis Health

Heather Parker has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Heather began their career as a Marketing Coordinator at DirectWest in 1995, where they worked for two years. Heather then moved on to Ogilvy & Mather, where they quickly climbed the ranks from an entry-level position to an Account Supervisor, gaining extensive experience in various marketing tactics and client management.

In 2000, Parker joined Blueprint Brand Strategies as a Brand Consultant, where they facilitated strategic planning sessions, conducted customer research, and advised clients on brand development and execution. Heather then transitioned to MGM Communications as an Account Director for a year, before joining Venture Communications in 2003 as a Client Marketing Director. In this role, they managed marketing strategies for multi-million dollar accounts in the tourism and energy sectors, along with successful RFP presentations and new account acquisitions.

Parker then served as the Director of Marketing at Veer, where they developed and managed the North American marketing plan and collaborated with various resources on integrated marketing campaigns. Following Corbis' acquisition of Veer, they stayed on as the Director of Marketing, Americas / Director of Customer Retention & Loyalty, leading the consolidated North American marketing team and overseeing acquisition, retention, and loyalty initiatives for three e-commerce brands.

In 2010, Parker joined Atlantis Health, where they held multiple roles throughout their tenure. Heather started as a Senior Account Director and later became the Client Services Director before being promoted to Managing Director in 2017. In these positions, they led a multidisciplinary team in designing and delivering personalized patient support and self-management programs across various therapy areas. Heather collaborated with global pharmaceutical clients, defined program objectives, and managed the UK operation within the Atlantis Healthcare network.

Throughout their career, Parker has demonstrated strong leadership in managing teams, recruitment, coaching, performance evaluation, and capacity planning. Heather also has P&L responsibility and experience in revenue forecasting.

Heather Parker's education history includes multiple academic achievements spanning from 1988 to 2006. Heather began their studies at the University of Regina, where they pursued a Diploma of Associate in Business Administration from 1988 to 1992. During the same period, they also earned a BA Honours in English with Distinction from the University of Regina. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Regina in 1992. In 1997, they attended the Institute of Communication Agencies, where they completed a CAAP (Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional) program from 1997 to 1999. Finally, from 2003 to 2006, Heather pursued further studies at the University of Calgary, earning a Certificate in Spanish Language and Culture.
