Richard Broekman

Richard Broekman is an experienced aviation and commercial development professional currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Sustainability at Atlas Air since July 2005. Throughout the career at Atlas Air, Richard has held several key positions, including Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Commercial Development, overseeing global sales strategies and managing a charter fleet that generates over $200 million in annual revenue. Prior experience includes founding iActive LLC and developing a successful running app for the iPhone, which was sold to MapMyRun, LLC. Richard's educational qualifications include an Executive Master's degree in Sustainability Transition Management from Bologna Business School and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the University of Groningen, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hanze.
