Zawadi Noel

Zawadi Noel has been working in the art field since 2001. Zawadi began their career at The CityKids Foundation, Inc. as a BBI Program Manager and Facilitator. During this time, they designed a youth development curriculum, trained and directed a staff of four, and facilitated leadership and art based workshops. In 2009, they began working at Educational Alliance as a teaching artist of cartooning, providing classes throughout the year to middle school students, high school students, and adults. That same year, they also started working at Urban Arts Partnership as a teaching artist of cartooning and animation, designing and implementing art based curriculum to students ages 9-12. In 2017, they became the Business Owner of Myherocomics, offering two services: custom art to private and corporate clients, and educational content and courses to individuals and groups of all ages. Zawadi has created artwork for companies including Marvel, Disney, the ASPCA, and CMD New York. In 2020, they began teaching art at Atlas Obscura.

Zawadi Noel attended the School of Visual Arts from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Cartooning.
