Ruben Borja

Ruben Borja is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in business development and management within the renewable energy and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Country Managing Director at Atlas Renewable Energy since July 2021, Ruben previously held various key positions at Trina Solar, including ISBU Regional Managing Director for Colombia, Mexico, and the Caribbean, where responsibilities spanned overseeing regional operations and strategic initiatives. Prior experience includes leadership roles at HL INGENIEROS SA as Vice President of Business Development, and AES Chivor, where strategic planning and market analysis were critical. Ruben began a career in engineering with roles as Business Development Manager at Schrader Camargo and Project Quality Control Manager at Seobra Ltda, gaining comprehensive expertise in project management and business strategies. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Universidad de los Andes and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from McNeese State University.
