Juan Martinez

Juan was the Vineyard Manager at Opus One from 2003-2017 as a steady hand in the vineyards for a super high-end detail oriented winemaking staff. Juan started working on vineyards as a young man at Bechstoffer Vineyards and was there from 1975 to 1989 doing everything you can think of in a vineyard, pruning, planting, suckering, fruit thinning, hand harvest, irrigation, tractor work, sprays, truck driver redevelopment work crewmen. He then moved to Robert Mondavi from 1989 to 2003 where he continued to gain great experiences working as a crew leader, tractor driver, supervisor assistant, supervisor, and eventually as an assistant manager on redevelopment. Juan brings amazing unprecedented experiences that they are super excited to have at Atlas.
