Stefano Sgroia

Stefano Sgroia has over 11 years of work experience in payroll and transition management. Stefano is currently working as a Regional Payroll Manager at Atlas, where they oversee the processing of company payroll and ensures compliance with governmental reporting. Prior to this, Stefano worked at Safeguard Global as a Payroll and T&A Specialist and later as a Payroll Senior Project/Transition Design Consultant, where they were responsible for payroll operation transition activities and ensuring readiness for operational support. Before that, they served as the EMEA Payroll Operations Leader at Citi, managing day-to-day payroll activities and ensuring compliance with payroll laws. Stefano also has experience working at IBM as a 1st Line Payroll Manager, Country Process Owner and Tax Vendor Manager, and in various other roles within payroll management and administration. Stefano started their career at Tata Consultancy Services as an Italian Accounts Payable professional and later worked at Intercomp as a Latin American Payroll Specialist.

Stefano Sgroia has a diverse education history. Stefano obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Naples "Orientale" between 2006 and 2010. Their field of study during this time included Portuguese, Japanese, and English languages.

In 2012, Stefano completed a Premier Advanced Workshop on payroll and HR solutions called "Softline VIP" and received a certificate for it. In the same year, they also earned a certificate in Italian Accounting from AbacusOnline. Additionally, Stefano obtained a certificate in Financial Direction from the Bureau Veritas Business School during this period.

Furthermore, Stefano pursued a course on Brazilian Legislation and Payroll offered by FURLANETO & Pereira, which they completed between 2010 and 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Stefano acquired the "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project" certification from Coursera in March 2023. Stefano also earned a certification in "Foundations of Project Management" from Coursera in February 2023.
