Byron Walker is an experienced engineering manager and founder with a strong background in technology and leadership roles. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Atlassian since October 2018, Byron also founded WODBuzz, an online scoring system for Crossfit affiliates, in November 2011. Previous experience includes positions at Telstra as Feature Team Lead and Senior Technology Specialist, where key responsibilities involved team mentorship, transitioning to hybrid cloud, and automation engineering. At Appliances Online, Byron led a team of software developers, managing onboarding processes and improving transactional uptime. Earlier roles include Technical Architect at Pulse Mining Systems, Contracting Consultant from 2009 to 2012, and various positions in contracting and software development from 2004 onwards. Byron holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from UNSW and completed the Higher School Certificate at Central Coast Grammar School.
