Gaurav Kumar is a seasoned engineering leader currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Atlassian since March 2025. Prior to this role, Gaurav held several senior engineering positions at Facebook from December 2016 to March 2025, including Director of Engineering for VR Engagement & Monetization, where responsibilities included the launch of the Quest 3 and Quest 3S headsets and the development of various developer tools and monetization strategies. Gaurav also served as Director of Engineering for Facebook App Monetization, assisting creators in generating income, and as an Engineering Manager, successfully leading initiatives that resulted in over $1 billion in annual creator monetization payouts. Earlier experience includes a brief internship at Yatra Online Pvt Ltd in 2011. Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), completed in 2012.
