Heather Arentson

Heather Arentson is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data science, analytics, and education. Currently serving as a Principal Data Scientist at Atlassian since October 2022, Heather has also held the position of Principal Data Analyst there. In parallel, Heather has been instructing as an Instructional Associate at the Georgia Institute of Technology since August 2020, enhancing students' learning experiences in the Online Masters in Analytics program. With a foundational role at Adrian Collaborative, LLC as Data Analytics Manager since March 2014, Heather has contributed significant projects, including building natural language processing models and assessing environmental impacts. Previous roles include Senior Data Analyst at Greenlight Financial Technology, where Heather transformed analytics practices, and positions at Steady and NCR Corporation, focusing on data-driven strategies. A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Analytics and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Heather’s diverse background also includes a professional dancing career in various ballet companies.
