Joe Hallock

Joe Hallock is an experienced leader in design and research, currently serving as VP and Head of Design at Atlassian since March 2025. Previously, Joe held multiple roles at Microsoft from January 1997 to March 2025, including Partner Director of Design and Research for Microsoft Azure, where oversight included design systems, user research, and inclusive design. Joe's early career features co-founding two infrastructure-as-a-service companies focused on web hosting for healthcare and biotech, leading to acquisitions and consistent growth. Educational credentials include a Master of Communication in Digital Media and a BA in Communications from the University of Washington.
