Nate Edel

Nate (Nathan Keir) Edel is a Principal Engineer and Architect at Atlassian, where they are currently focused on improving Confluence's performance and operational costs. With over 25 years of experience in backend development, they have previously held positions at prominent companies, including Zipcar, Facebook, and Guidewire Software. They transitioned to leadership as a Senior Engineering Manager, effectively growing their team and enhancing productivity for Confluence Cloud's back-end engineers. Edel also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology with a minor in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and is pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
