Richard Thomson earned an MSci in Physical Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, graduating with first-class honors in 2009. Following this, Richard completed a PhD at the same institution, focusing on the elastic behavior and physical properties of molecular magnets. Richard worked as a Financial Services Consultant at Oliver Wyman from 2013 to 2014, collaborating with international financial institutions on risk-related projects. In 2019, Richard held various roles at Google, including Program Manager and working in Strategy and Operations for YouTube. Currently, Richard serves as the Head of Product Data Science for IT Solutions at Atlassian.
