Roy Wung

Roy Wung is a highly experienced data scientist with a strong background in analytics and decision sciences. Currently serving as Principal Data Scientist in Decision Sciences at Atlassian since January 2023, Wung previously held a Senior Manager position in Data Science - Analytics at Expedia Group, where leadership of an analytics team facilitated COVID recovery and the development of a cross-brand customer lifecycle framework. Earlier roles at Capital One included Senior Business Analyst, contributing significantly to the profitability of a $9B auto finance portfolio, and Business Analyst, developing a valuation model within a cross-functional team. Wung's early career featured research as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, along with internships focused on reservoir engineering and project management. Wung holds a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
