Yi Liu

Yi Liu is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Atlassian, specializing in natural language processing, generative AI, and machine learning for search and recommendation systems since May 2025. Prior to this role, Yi served as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Senior Machine Learning Engineer, and Machine Learning Scientist at PathAI from September 2018 to December 2024, focusing on applying machine learning and deep learning techniques to enhance patient outcomes through the analysis of Gigapixel digital pathology images. Experience includes a position as a Senior Scientist at Triple Ring Technologies, where Yi developed empirical models from near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy data, and roles at MIT involving advanced digital holographic systems for analyzing manufacturing processes and nanoscale vibrations.
