Alan Wightman

Alan Wightman is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in power systems and renewable energy integration. Currently serving as a Network Connection Manager at Atmos Renewables since August 2023, Alan previously held the position of Grid Compliance Engineer at Vestas, overseeing multiple wind farms and hybrid power plants in Australasia. Prior to that, Alan's career included roles as a Tendering Engineer at Mitsubishi Electric Europe focusing on HVDC and FACTS technology, and as a Power Systems Consultant providing consultancy services to the UK solar generation industry. Alan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Canterbury, supplemented by Chartered Professional Engineer and International Professional Engineer accreditation.
