Darwin Ang

Darwin Ang is a highly experienced professional in the field of surgery and trauma care, currently serving as a Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida and the University of Central Florida since July 2012 and July 2016, respectively. In addition to academic roles, Darwin Ang is a Trauma Medical Director at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and holds key positions such as Director of Quality and Research and Medical Director of Trauma Services at the USF/HCA Trauma Network. Moreover, leadership in surgical training is demonstrated through the role of Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at both the University of Central Florida and the University of South Florida. Entrepreneurship is also evident with the founding of Atmosphere Apps, focused on mobile technology. Academic credentials include an M.D. from the University of Florida, a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Biochemistry, a Master's in Epidemiology, and advanced training in Trauma Surgery and Critical Care.
