Laura Wadleigh is a Quantum Engineer at Atom Computing since May 2023. Prior to this role, Laura served as a PhD Candidate in Physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2014 to April 2023, conducting experimental research in the DeMarco lab on ultracold rubidium-87 atoms. Laura was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow from June 2015 to June 2018. Earlier experience includes a research assistant position at Carleton College, where studies focused on the superfluid transition in thin helium films, as well as participating as a summer undergraduate research fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, investigating photon-pair generation. Educationally, Laura holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in Physics from Carleton College.
