Andrew Noyes is a Firmware QA Engineer at Atom Power, Inc. since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Quality Assurance Engineer at GRIDSMART Technologies, Inc. from 2018-2021, where they developed and applied a full regression test plan for GS2, an embedded device for determining traffic flow in live intersections using machine vision. Andrew also managed and trained a direct-report QA analyst, and designed and implemented testing fixtures to verify PoE network junction modules built on-site, using a combination of Arduino boards and Raspberry Pis. Before that, they worked as a Contractor - Hardware/Software Engineer at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) from 2012-2018, where they debugged, automated, and optimized a back-end transfer service for acquisition of unstructured energy and sensor data from hundreds of devices using Python, C#, and SQL. Andrew also implemented, optimized, and maintained an internal EPRI-specific semantic MediaWiki webserver built on Linux, and created Python and Excel scripts to collect and analyze miscellaneous data for various technology reports.
Andrew Noyes obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville between 2010 and 2016.
