Fergus O’Hanlon

Fergus O’Hanlon is a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at J2r, an Atombit Company, where they apply their extensive expertise in machine learning and mathematics. Fergus earned a Bachelor of Science with 1st Class Honours in Mathematics and Applied & Computational Mathematics from University College Dublin before pursuing a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Oxford. During their studies, Fergus developed a passion for machine learning and completed multiple self-supervised research projects, including a dissertation on a numerical solver for the Helmholtz equation. They also held various leadership roles, including serving as Auditor and Treasurer for the UCD Mathematical Society, where they led a committee to achieve record membership and organized numerous successful events.
