Benjamin Thorne

Benjamin Thorne is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Atomic Industries since October 2023, previously holding the position of Machine Learning Engineer at Berkeley Lab from April 2023 to October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Davis from July 2019 to December 2022, and a Graduate Student Researcher at both Princeton University from September 2017 to July 2019 and the University of Oxford's Department of Physics from October 2015 to June 2019. Additionally, Benjamin Thorne was a Graduate Student Researcher at The University of Tokyo between August 2016 and September 2017. Benjamin Thorne holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford, obtained in 2019, and a Master’s Degree in Physics (MPhys) from the same institution, awarded in 2015.
