Raja Awais Azhar is a Software Engineer at Atomic NYC since June 2022, where responsibilities include maintaining and updating the Atomic Software website using Vue.js, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on enhancing features for responsiveness and accessibility. Raja serves as a Basta Fellow at projectBASTA, participating in a fellowship program aimed at supporting first-generation college students in securing entry-level positions. Additionally, Raja has experience as a Teaching Assistant for a Full-Stack Development Bootcamp at edX and participated in the Google GSWEP Program, working alongside a Google Software Engineer. Raja has also completed a mentorship program with Bloomberg LP and was a resident in the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline, which connects computer science students with local employers. Raja holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brooklyn College, graduating in May 2023, and is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School.

We help our partners imagine and build digital products for learners, readers, and teachers. We start from content, we focus on users, and we engineer for quality. Our clients include Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Amplify Learning, as well as nonprofit clients such as AERDF, EL Education, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Full Stack Engineering for Content: We build products that connect our clients' content to readers, students, and teachers with a digital-first CMS, our print-to-digital engine, and consulting expertise in metadata taxonomies, automated workflow, and tools for distributed editorial teams. Digital Reading: We create new ways to discover books, read books, and share books. We build data services using AWS and we build user-facing applications with Angular and React. Digital Learning: We help our clients make a difference with digital tools for K-12 teachers and students, in the classroom and at home. Our engineering team understands the challenges in ed-tech and we’re ready to help.
