Tania Esteban

Tania Esteban has a diverse work experience in the field of filmmaking and wildlife conservation. Tania started their career in 2015, working as a Camera Operator for Green World TV, where they filmed at various events and shows. Tania also served as an Ambassador for Global Biodiversity with Ibex Earth, promoting the importance of protecting global biodiversity through conservation filmmaking.

In 2015, Tania volunteered for vEcotourism.org, a virtual reality project that connects the public with conservation projects worldwide. Tania worked as an Editor, Scriptwriter, and Archive Researcher, creating non-linear VR stories to spread the message of conservation.

Tania joined Born Free USA in 2015 as a Producer, Director, and Camera Operator for a student film called "A Lions Tale." The film explored the relationship between humans and lions in Meru National Park.

In 2016, Tania started working with the BBC, first as a Researcher for projects such as "Digital Blue Planet 2/Our Blue Planet" and "Wild Metropolis." Tania also worked as a Script Translator/Narrator for BBC's productions.

Tania continued their career as a Series and Shooting Researcher at Channel 5 in 2018, working on the wildlife series "A Year in the Wild: Canada." Tania collaborated with scientists and producers on research, story development, and setting up complex shoots.

Tania then joined Silverback Films in 2018 as an Assistant Producer and Researcher. Tania'swork included projects such as "Our Planet" and "BBC Mating Game." Tania conducted extensive research, directed and filmed in various challenging environments, and worked on post-production.

In 2021, Tania joined Wildstar Films as an Assistant Producer. Details regarding their role are not provided.

Additionally, Tania has been associated with Panasonic and Atomos as a Brand Ambassador and Camera Operator, respectively. At Panasonic, they produced exclusive 4K/HDR natural history, travel, and adventure content. With Atomos, they tested the latest camera equipment and aided in product development.

Throughout their career, Tania has showcased their expertise in filmmaking, research, storytelling, directing, camera operation, and remote fieldwork in challenging environments. Tania'swork has primarily focused on wildlife conservation and natural history.

Tania Esteban completed their education in a chronological manner. Tania began with their GCSE and A-Level studies at Sunny View School from 1999 to 2012. After that, they pursued a BSc in Zoology at the University of Leeds, from 2012 to 2015, specializing in biological sciences. Following their undergraduate degree, Tania obtained a Masters in Wildlife Filmmaking from the University of the West of England in 2015-2016, focusing on cinematography and film/video production.

Furthermore, Tania has also earned additional certifications, including a Diploma in Photography from Shaw Academy in July 2015. Tania has acquired practical skills such as Remote First Aid training from the BBC in September 2017 and a CAA drone pilot license from CAA International (UK CAA).
