Amy Marcotte

Amy Marcotte has a strong background in research and development, with experience in various leadership roles. Amy is currently the Director of Research & Development at AtriCure, Inc., a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Manager of Research & Development at the same company from January 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining AtriCure, Inc., Amy served as the Vice President of Marcotte Delivery Services, LLC and AKKA Properties, LLC from August 2016 to January 2021. Amy also worked as a Project Director at Standard Bariatrics, Inc. from December 2014 to August 2016.

Amy's career in research and development began at Ethicon, Inc., where they held the positions of R&D Project Director and R&D Design Engineer. As R&D Project Director from February 2013 to September 2014, they were responsible for the development of surgical devices for open and laparoscopic surgery, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and team management. Prior to that, they worked as an R&D Design Engineer from January 2004 to January 2013, focusing on mechanical product design and various aspects of the design process, including market research, concept development, prototyping, verification, and validation.

Amy's early career includes experience as a Manufacturing Engineer at Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems, where they provided engineering support for CNC machining equipment and collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project installations. Amy achieved a Six Sigma GreenBelt Technical Certification during their time there.

Amy Marcotte attended Ottawa-Glandorf High School from 1996 to 1999. Amy then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Dayton from 1999 to 2003.
