Mike Bress

Mike Bress is an experienced financial executive currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Arena since April 2022. As Managing Director at Shorewood Advisors, LLC since 2010, Mike advises early-stage start-ups, mid-sized companies, and non-profits on developing data-driven finance and accounting functions. Mike founded Fostering Love Rescues in 2019, providing shelter and care for adoptable animals, and has volunteered as a mentor at MERLIN Mentors since 2012. Previously, Mike held CFO roles at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Employee Benefits Corporation, and WPS Community Bank, focusing on financial management and risk in various sectors. Mike’s early career includes significant positions at CUNA Mutual Group and Redport International. Mike holds an MBA in Finance/Strategy from Georgetown University and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
