Hongmei Yang

Hongmei Yang is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in health analytics and epidemiology. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Atrium Health since April 2018, Hongmei consults on various analytic projects and provides advanced analytics support for strategic initiatives. Formerly, Hongmei was a Data Scientist at Carolinas HealthCare System, where the development of predictive models for readmission risk significantly enhanced care quality. With previous roles as a Senior Statistician and Researcher at leading institutions, Hongmei has contributed to health impact modeling and epidemiological research, earning recognition for robust methodologies and impactful programmatic decisions. Hongmei holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, complemented by a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and a Bachelor of Medicine in Preventive Medicine from Tongji Medical University.
