Kenny Winn, RRT, FACHE, FAARC has an extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Kenny has worked in various positions and organizations throughout their career.
Starting from 2012, Kenny served as the Director of Respiratory Therapy Services and Administrator of the Sleep Disorders Center at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. In this role, they were responsible for managing respiratory therapy services and the sleep disorders center.
In 2014, they became the Director of Respiratory Care at Yale New Haven Hospital. During their time there, Kenny led numerous initiatives to improve patient care and reduce hospital LOS for COPD and pneumonia patients. Kenny also played a role in expanding pulmonary rehab programs across Connecticut.
In 2016, Kenny took on the role of Commissioner at the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), where they contributed to the accreditation process for respiratory care programs.
In 2017, Kenny held multiple roles including Principal at JanusRT, Business Development Strategist at SimplyVital Health, and Administrative Director of Imaging & Intervention and Business Administrator of the Radiology Practice at Wake Forest Baptist Health. At Wake Forest Baptist Health, they had significant responsibilities overseeing the health system's imaging and intervention operations, managing joint venture and contractual relationships, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
In 2018, Kenny joined Atrium Health as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and later took on roles as Supervisor, Director of Respiratory Care, Planning Section Chief, and Director II of Respiratory Care, Patient Experience.
Additionally, Kenny has served as Adjunct Faculty at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, Part-Time Faculty at Boise State University, and Part-Time Faculty and Associate Member of the Graduate Faculty at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Throughout their career, Kenny has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in respiratory care, patient experience, program development, and healthcare administration.
Kenny Winn, RRT, FACHE, FAARC has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. Kenny also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant from Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology. Kenny has a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management (MHA) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
In terms of certifications, Kenny is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care - NBRC. Kenny is also a Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (FAARC) and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Kenny holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics respectively.
