Truett Smith

Truett Smith is an experienced healthcare professional with a robust background in family medicine. Since January 2015, Truett has served as the Director of Advanced Practice- Primary Care and the APP Family Medicine Fellowship Director at Atrium Health. Prior to this, Truett practiced as a Physician Assistant at Edison Square Family Medicine since April 2010 and held the titles of APP Family Medicine Fellowship Director and Physician Assistant at Carolinas HealthCare System from March 1998 to February 2022. Truett began working as a Physician Assistant at CMC-NorthEast in March 1998 until December 2011. Educational credentials include a Physician Assistant degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wingate University.
