Veronica Getz

Veronica Getz's work experience includes various roles in healthcare administration and operations. Veronica is currently serving as the Vice President of Enterprise Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care & Sleep (PACS) at Atrium Health since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Assistant Vice President of Critical Care & Respiratory Health at Atrium Health from January 2019 to May 2022.

Before joining Atrium Health, Veronica held several leadership positions at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Veronica was the Administrator of the Acute Care Surgery Trauma Service Line from March 2014 to September 2018. In this role, they oversaw strategy, clinical operations, regulatory compliance, financial health, and patient outcomes for the ACS-verified Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Centers and other services.

Veronica also served as the Administrator of the Department of Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health from April 2013 to September 2018. Veronica was responsible for the department's clinical, research, and education missions, as well as financial and operational success. During their tenure, they managed a significant revenue and expense budget, as well as a high volume of clinical cases and patient visits.

Prior to their time at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Veronica worked as a Clinical Operations Analyst and Administrative Fellow in the Division of Surgical Sciences. These roles involved financial analysis, reporting, and operational support for multiple surgical departments.

Earlier in their career, Veronica gained experience as an Analyst in Strategic and Clinical Services Planning at Private Diagnostic Clinic, PLLC | Duke Health and as an Operations Administrative Intern in Nursing Operations at The Methodist Hospital.

Veronica's work experience also includes a role as a Lab Technician in the College of Veterinary Physiology & Pharmacology at Texas A&M University.

Veronica Getz received their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science and Business from Texas A&M University in 2008. Veronica went on to obtain a Master's degree in Health Administration, specializing in Finance and Operations, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2008 and 2010.
