Richard Hayes

Richard Hayes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Richard currently holds the position of Head of Finance at Atrium Underwriters Ltd. Prior to this, they worked at Markel International, where they progressed from the role of Head of Financial Reporting to International Finance Officer. In this role, they were responsible for quarterly reporting for a German insurance company and driving finance strategy across Asian operations. Richard also attended quarterly reserving committee meetings. Before Markel International, Richard worked at Aspen Insurance as a Syndicate Assistant Financial Controller. Richard started their career at the Financial Services Authority as an Associate and later joined EY as a Senior Manager, where they were involved in external audits and non-audit services.

Richard Hayes has a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, which they completed in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their A Levels in Mathematics, Law, and Sociology from Palmer's College between 1998 and 2000. In terms of certifications, Richard is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (FCCA) and also holds the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, which they obtained in 2010 and 2005, respectively.
