Adriaan van Rooyen has had a diverse work experience. Adriaan started their career at HP Audit in 2006, where they began as a trainee accountant and eventually became an Audit Manager. During this time, they led two teams in the accounting and audit departments. In 2014, they joined Goldrush Gaming Group as the Group Head of Finance, where they were responsible for improving financial processes and systems to accommodate the company's rapid growth. In 2015, they moved to Atterbury Property as a Financial Manager, focusing on financial reporting and ensuring compliance with company policies. Adriaan was later promoted to Group Chief Financial Officer in 2017, assuming responsibility for the entire finance function. Currently, Adriaan holds the position of Group Head of Reporting at Atterbury Property, where they are involved in deal structuring, implementation, and the development and integration of financial systems and internal controls. Adriaan is also part of the executive committee and invited to board meetings.

Adriaan van Rooyen began their education journey in 2006 at UNISA, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. Adriaan successfully completed their degree in 2012. Following this, in 2012, van Rooyen enrolled at UNISA once again to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Science (CTA), which they completed in the same year. In 2013, they attended SAICA, where they successfully obtained the Chartered Accountant (S.A.) qualification, specializing in Accounting and Finance.
