Terence Helsel has a diverse work experience. Terence started as a Full Stack Engineering Trainee at Fullstack Academy, where they completed a 17-week software engineering program. Terence'srole involved extensive work with the NERD stack and emphasized pair programming, independent learning, and agile development. Terence then worked as a Teaching Fellow at Fullstack Academy, providing assistance and support to students.

Prior to Fullstack Academy, Terence worked as a Director of Studies at Rennert International, where they were responsible for overseeing and managing academic programs. Terence also served as an Outside Item Writer for TOEIC Reading at Educational Testing Service (ETS), where they worked as a freelance writer.

Terence also has experience in teaching English. Terence worked as an IDELT Instructor at BridgeEnglish Chile, instructing a teacher certification course designed for non-native English speakers. Terence has also held various roles at BridgeEnglish Chile, including Customer Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, and English Teacher. Additionally, Terence worked as an Outside Item Writer for TOEIC Listening at Educational Testing Service (ETS) as a freelance writer.

Most recently, Terence has joined Attune as a Software Engineer, where they currently work.

Terence Helsel's education history begins in 2006 when they attended Columbia University. Terence completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Hispanic Studies with a specialization in Linguistics in 2010. In 2011, Terence received an International Diploma in English Language Teaching (IDELT) from Bridge-Linguatec, focusing on teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL).

In 2015, Terence pursued further studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where they obtained a post-graduate certificate (Diplomado) in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (Enseñanza de Español como Lengua Extranjera).

After several years in the education sector, Terence gained interest in software engineering and enrolled in the Software Engineering Immersive program at Fullstack Academy in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Terence obtained certification in "The Modern Python 3 Bootcamp" from Udemy in September 2019.
