Maria Staunton

Maria Staunton has extensive experience in strategic consulting and entrepreneurship development, currently serving as the Manager of ATU Innovation Hub Mayo and EMPOWER Programme Manager since March 2006. This role encompasses business plan and marketing strategy development, management of a female entrepreneurship program, and collaboration with regional agencies to promote enterprise development. Maria co-founded the Mayo Open Coffee Club to facilitate networking among entrepreneurs and investors from January 2009 to December 2015. Prior positions include Marketing Executive at Ireland West Airport Knock, where promotional projects were planned and executed, and European Projects Coordinator at Moy Valley Resources, focusing on EU project funding and development. Maria holds a Master's degree in Regional Innovation Systems from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, earned between 2008 and 2012.
