Chris Wilbur

Chief Engineer at Atwood Oceanics

Chris Wilbur has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Chris started their career at Transocean in 2010 as a Third Assistant Engineer and later became a Second Assistant Engineer. In 2014, they joined Atwood Oceanics, where they held the positions of First Engineer and eventually Chief Engineer. Their most recent role was as Chief Engineer at Ensco plc, which they started in 2017.

Chris Wilbur attended Maine Maritime Academy and obtained a degree in Marine Engineering Operations in 2009. Additionally, they obtained certifications including Chief Engineer USCG (Motor Unlimited HP) from the USCG in August 2015 and a Third Class Stationary Steam Engineer certification from the State of Maine. Chris also holds Third Engineer Licenses from the USCG for both Gas Turbine Unlimited HP and Steam Unlimited HP, although the specific dates of obtaining these licenses are unknown.
