David Lanum has an extensive work experience in the field of hardware engineering and management. David is currently working at ATX Networks Corp. since May 2023 as the Senior Director, Hardware Engineering. Prior to this, they held the position of Hardware Engineering Lead at the same company starting from September 2019.
Before joining ATX Networks Corp., David worked at Cisco for a significant period of time. At Cisco, they were the Senior Hardware Engineering Manager from November 2016 to September 2019, leading a team of hardware, FPGA, and firmware engineers. David also served as the Engineering Manager, Cable and Access Business Unit from March 2006 to October 2016, managing a group of 15 RF, Optics, and FPGA engineers.
Prior to Cisco, David worked at Scientific Atlanta, where they held multiple roles. David served as the Acting Engineering Director, Access Networks Business Unit from April 2005 to February 2006, leading a department of 30 RF and Optics engineers. David also worked as the Engineering Core Team Leader from May 2004 to April 2005, handling project status communication and problem-solving efforts. Additionally, they served as the Core Team Lead/Project Manager from February 2003 to May 2004.
Throughout their career, David has been involved in developing high-quality equipment for transporting video, voice, and data. David has experience leading teams and managing projects to ensure successful outcomes.
David Lanum has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. David also holds a Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Georgia Institute of Technology.
