Koen Masschelein

Koen Masschelein is an accomplished hospitality professional with extensive experience in luxury hotel management, specializing in food and beverage operations. Currently serving as General Manager at Auberge Resorts Collection since October 2022, Koen has successfully led the property to accolades including recognition as a top resort in Central America by Travel + Leisure and inclusion in Conde Nast Traveller's Gold List. Previous roles include Director of Operations and Resort Manager at a 50-casita resort in Costa Rica, where Koen managed multiple operational departments. Prior to that, roles at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts encompassed significant contributions to pre-opening projects and management of multi-million dollar food and beverage operations. Koen’s earlier experience includes positions at Shangri-La Hotels and Daniel Boulud's Dinex Group, complemented by formal education in wine from the Court of Master Sommeliers and hospitality management studies at Hotelschool Ter Duinen.
