Jay James

Jay James, MS, MBA, is a highly experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as Cybersecurity Operations Manager and Senior Cyber Security Operations Lead at Auburn University since June 2016. Jay has successfully implemented critical security systems, developed the university's first Security Operations Center, and significantly reduced the number of unprotected Social Security Numbers on campus. Additionally, Jay contributes to education as an Adjunct Faculty member at Purdue University Global, a Learning Facilitator for the MITxPro Cybersecurity Program, and a mentor at Springboard. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Auburn University, a Master of Science in Information Technology Cybersecurity, and a Master of Business Administration. Through leadership roles in various organizations, Jay is dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education and fostering a global learning community.
