Matthew Yarnold

Matthew Yarnold currently serves as an Associate Professor and Director of the Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory at Auburn University since January 2023. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University from July 2017 to December 2022 and Assistant Professor at Tennessee Technological University from August 2013 to July 2017. Matthew also worked as a Project Engineer (Part Time) at Intelligent Infrastructure Systems from 2010 to 2013 and as a Structural Engineer at Ammann & Whitney from June 2005 to December 2009. The early career includes an internship as a Bridge Engineering Intern at HNTB in 2004. Matthew Yarnold earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in 2013, a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in 2003.
